Review

The Augvape Narada Pro is the newest version of the original Narada pod line that includes several upgrades and design changes.

Functionality has also been upgraded, going from a resistance based device with little control to fully functional. The device is now controlled by a variable wattage board with dial control button.

This single button serves several functions. Firing obviously with a single click but also settings freeze with three clicks and locked (off) with five clicks. To adjust the wattage, twist left or right for a wattage change.

One minor drawback is that the button will sometimes rotate under uneven pressure which could change the wattage if settings weren't locked.

Overall, this is a much more compact design. The size is reduced from not just height but also width. Reducing the size significantly has made this a good size for carry in a pocket.

Battery life and size is still decent with 950mAh and type c charging. This battery size will provide a decent life span for average usage and is fully recharged in under an hour.

Augvape has updated the pod (tank) yet kept the original coil design.

Airflow is largely unchanged performance wise. The draw is still pretty good providing a restricted to loose mouth to lung airflow.

Performance is also in line with the original pod with decent flavor as expected from the included mesh coil. Use a 70/30 vape juice with up to 12mg (or higher) with this coil.

The traditional 1.0 ohm wire coil is perfect for nic salt vape juice and extended battery life. Wire however provides less saturation.

The drip tip is fairly low profile with decent functionality and retention but is replaceable with your favorite.

Using the RBA (Rebuilable Base)

building and usage of the Narada Pro RBA section for vape pod

Building the Narada Pro RBA

The RBA is available as a separate purchase and is well worth it for a few reasons.

It performs well. Draw is respectable and flavor production is pretty good. Performance is very similar to older school MTL micro coil builds that are good for low power flavor chasing.

You won't run out of coils with the RBA. Augvape coils may not be available at your favorite brick and mortar or online shop.

This is a simple single coil build deck. Use a 2-2.5mm coil with 26 to 28 gauge wire (kanthal or SS316) for best results. There is an innovative coil lead feature, a small notch on the deck, that helps prevent shorts by allowing the lead to go sideways instead of straight out.

Final Thoughts

One major drawback to this pod is the easy availability of the subohm coils which may need to be ordered from the manufacturers store or overseas online supplier.

However, the RBA section saves the day with its easy build and good performance characteristics. It isn't included by default unfortunately but the separate purchase is well worth the money.

Overall, this pod has pretty good performance, a compact design and is easy to use. The Augvape Narada Pro really shines as a rebuildable pod.
